OUR STORY
Hello! I’m Leah, owner of Forest Meadow Ranch.
Horses have always been a big part of my life. I've been riding, showing and enjoying horses throughout my life. After 28 years as a teacher, I retired to pursue therapeutic work with horses.
Spending time with horses and witnessing their intelligent and intuitive nature is inspiring. Horses are, by nature, non-judgemental and genuine in their interactions, thus making them perfect facilitators of therapy and learning. I feel honored to be a part of each client’s journey towards healing and growth.

OUR TEAM
Every session is facilitated by a team including a licensed mental health clinician who tends to the needs of the client’s treatment goals; an equine specialist to monitor the behavior and changes in the horses; and the horses, free to move and react as they see fit.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Eagala Model is used at Forest Meadow Ranch. Eagala was one of the first to develop a concrete model with professional standards that incorporates horses into mental health treatment.

OUR LOCATION
Forest Meadow Ranch is nestled on 17 beautiful acres in Berrien Springs, Michigan. All activities and events take place outside in our pasture. Our private setting is surrounded by a mature forest of trees and trails that meander the property and forest. In addition to our horses and domestic pets, the peaceful ranch is also home to countless native plants and wild animals.
LYNN WILSON
Outpatient Therapist
Hi there! I'm Lynn, an outpatient therapist for Forest Meadow Ranch. I believe that for people to heal, they need a positive foundation that places value on themselves. The Eagala Model is a unique way to promote healing and growth in a safe, nonjudgmental, and uplifting environment.
I have a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University, Florida, and a BA in psychology from Midway University, Kentucky. I specialize in counseling for individuals, couples, and families. My love for horses led me to work in equine therapy and I'm very proud to be a part of this special wellness center.
